The courtyard of the Russian city was seized by juvenile horsemen with daggers: “We do not let children out”

– These, apparently, are again the children of Khilok (Khilok market in the south-west of the city. – Auth.), – a Novosibirsk woman living nearby sighs sadly. – A huge number of migrants work there, and all with children. They come with them, and then they give birth. And almost everyone runs on their own almost from the age of 3, no one watches them, their parents have no time. We, who live near the market, have not applied anywhere to have these beggars placed somewhere. But all to no avail. Apparently, their parents are illegal immigrants, and migration control with guardianship simply cannot identify them.

It turns out that the problem with the “wild small Khiloks” has been going on since winter itself, when residents of the quarter closest to the market found children … eating from garbage cans. Then they were dispersed, but the very next day they appeared in the garbage dump again, this time with their parents.

– I went out with a dog, I see a black, skinny boy, who looks no more than 5-6 years old, sits right on the edge of the container, like a bird on a perch, and eats something from there, – an elderly dog ​​owner from the Novosibirsk South-West recalls in horror housing estate. – I made a remark to him, and he suddenly sweared at me, gave out such a long tirade! I told him: oh, so small, but I have already learned so many bad words! And he suddenly told me: “I’m already a horseman, I’ll prove it! Dzhigits don’t go out without a dagger!” And the knife pulls out of his trousers!

The shocked interlocutor on the same day tried to find out from her decent neighbors – migrants from Central Asia: at what age do they become “jigits” there and play in the sandbox with a knife ?! But the answer turned out to be vague: there is no special age, the boy becomes a horseman when he was able to protect his own from the enemy. And what kind of “friends” and from which particular “enemy”, apparently, remains at the discretion of the horseman himself.

– I don’t even understand how their children even live to be 7 years old! – the young mother “from Sadovykh” is indignant (Sadovye streets are a quarter not far from the market. – Auth.). “They roam the streets all day, dirty and exhausted.

– Are they picking up?

– No, they pick up all sorts of muck near street fast foods and eat up the slop from the local Asian cafe. And some nursing mothers from the “market” society eat slops with them!

Even if we allow for the fact that “excited popular rumor” usually exaggerates a little, the prospect is still bleak: either these “dzhigits” themselves will poison themselves, at the same time spreading some kind of “garbage” infection around the city, or they will get stronger on the garbage and will not be in to rummage through the tanks, but to demand food or money for it from others, stimulating them with the help of their “daggers”.

“Maybe they’re hanging around during the holidays?” The migrants cannot afford to send them to their grandparents in the Asian republics, – I appeal to parents from the yards close to the “Children of Khilok”.

– They don’t go to school at all! – confidently answer the locals. – They go to teach some letters at the mosque, despite the fact that they are 10-12 years old already. They don’t even know the alphabet! And others don’t go anywhere at all, they hang out like that. Well, what do you want if their moms and dads often live not even in apartments, but in the back rooms of the fair.

The children of labor migrants study at our city state educational institutions, in accordance with the legislation on the rights to education for all children, including migrants, they are provided with national and regional programs of support and adaptation, – they respond briskly in the official field.

– Useless! – the neighborhood activist throws up her hands. – We have already applied to the guardianship, and to the police, and to the migrants themselves. “But we don’t even have a clue what country these unfortunate children are from!” They are not included in the guardianship. The local community seems to care about the Kyrgyz. But how can we know, I personally can’t tell by eye whether this is a Kyrgyz child, Tajik or Uzbek … Our mothers from the yard even sent pictures of them to custody, but what’s the point? The inspector in the photo, perhaps, will look for them in the garbage ?!

The migrating mothers and fathers themselves, according to local residents, react aggressively to remarks, declaring that they are doing all the dirtiest work for Novosibirsk residents.

– And a couple of times they even beat their own janitors! – say the residents of the neighborhoods adjacent to the market. – We are afraid to contact them, we have our own children. And if they don’t give a damn about their own, then we are even more so. Only there is a lot of garbage from them if they settle in the yard. Well, fights sometimes.

– And what about juvenile “dzhigits” with knives running after your children?

– Oh, well, you say – for ours! We haven’t let ours out into the yard alone for a long time!

Judging by the feedback from the townspeople, they have not been able to cope with migrants for quite a long time – ever since a record number of “post-Soviet foreigners” arrived in Novosibirsk immediately after the pandemic, and judging by the number of patents issued, only a tiny part of them were legalized, the rest “dissolved » in the Khilok market area. From time to time, the townspeople themselves go out to “catch” illegal immigrants as part of volunteer raids.

– The most annoying thing is that these people really do the hardest jobs in the city – at construction sites, in the market, as janitors, – says one of the volunteers. – But since the Russians who hired them don’t want to pay taxes for them, it’s like they don’t exist. They have nowhere to turn if they or their children get sick, if someone offends them, robs them, etc. But Russians will also have nowhere to complain if their child with a knife injures ours and runs away. Where to look for it, if it seems to be non-existent – and not only in Novosibirsk, but in Russia in general ?!
