A high-ranking employee of the Investigative Committee unit in the annexed territory was detained on suspicion of embezzlement of property. The Investigative Committee filed a petition for his arrest.
As MK learned, we are talking about the head of the department of the Investigative Committee for the Kherson region, Denis Zakhozhikh. Before that, he worked in Crimea, was, in particular, the deputy head of the investigative department for Krasnoperekopsk, and then the head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee for Kerch. The Investigative Committee appealed to the Basmanny Court with a request to arrest Zakhozhikh. He was charged under Article 160 Part 4 of the Criminal Code (“embezzlement on an especially large scale”).
The essence of the accusation is not disclosed. However, according to MK, we may be talking about a scandal that broke out in August. Then telegram channels talked about the theft of a Toyota Prado car, seized as evidence in a criminal case of theft at the Ministry of Health of the Kherson region. Zahozhikh was mentioned in connection with this scandal.
