The Verkhnepyshminsky District Court of the Sverdlovsk Region declared banned the videos that were posted on the YouTube channel of Vsevolod Moguchev, an assistant to ex-schemamonk Sergius (Nikolai Romanov). This was reported by TASS with reference to the court decision.
“The requirements of the administrative plaintiff shall be satisfied. Recognize the user’s information and channel on video hosting as prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation, ”the document says.
Now Mr. Moguchev’s YouTube channel has been deleted. Previously, he posted there the appeals of the ex-schemamonk Sergius.
In 2021, ex-sheigumen Sergius was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for arbitrariness, violation of the right to freedom of religion, and inciting suicide. In January 2023, it will also sentenced to seven years in prison on charges of incitement to hatred as part of an organized criminal group. In the same case, Vsevolod Moguchev was sentenced to five years in prison.
The reason for initiating a case on extremism was six videos of the ex-schemamonk Sergius, which were recorded in 2019-2020. Vsevolod Moguchev posted them on the Internet. According to investigators, they created an organized crime group, whose activities consisted in inciting hostility in citizens towards Jews, Catholics and Muslims.
