The Meshchansky Court of Moscow found opposition leader Ilya Yashin * guilty of publicly disseminating knowingly false information about the army of the Russian Federation.
We are talking about point “e” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, judge Oksana Gryunova announced.
The defendant, according to the judge, committed the crime “motivated by political hatred,” realizing that, due to his publicity, Russians, including army soldiers, would trust this information.
Gryunova, said that Yashin deliberately wanted to form a negative attitude towards the goals of the special operation and the armed Russian forces.
The reason, we recall, was the politician’s words in early April about the situation in Ukrainian Bucha.
* Ilya Yashin is recognized in the Russian Federation as an individual – a foreign agent.
