The court fined Google 4 billion rubles for non-payment of the previous FAS fine

The World Court fined Google LLC for 4 billion rubles. for non-payment of a previous fine from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia, reported at the service office.
The fine, imposed in February 2022, is related to the corporation’s “opaque, biased and unpredictable” rules for “forming, suspending, blocking accounts and accessing user content on Youtube.” It is specified that the decision was made by the World Court of the Presnensky district of Moscow.
Summer 2022 FAS fined Google for 2 billion rubles. Then the regulator also accused the corporation of the opacity and bias of the platform’s rules, which, according to the FAS, lead to sudden blocking of Russian media accounts. The company had to pay the fine within two months of the entry into force of the document imposing the fine.
The courts in Russia have fined the American corporation several times already. May 11 World Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow appointed administrative fine in the amount of 3 million rubles. Google LLC for refusing to remove content prohibited by Russian law that contains propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations.
