The property of the former coordinator of the headquarters of the politician Alexei Navalny in St. Petersburg (the Navalny Headquarters organization was recognized as extremist and banned in Russia and liquidated by a court decision) was seized, reported TASS in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

The court decision was made after the lawsuit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which demanded payment of compensation for the work of police officers at rallies in January 2021. We are talking about the arrest of the property of the ex-coordinator of the headquarters, Irina Fatyanova, who was brought to administrative responsibility for organizing protest actions and participating in them. The decision to arrest was made back in May, but Navalny’s supporter filed an appeal.

“In April 2022, the Dzerzhinsky District Court fully satisfied the claims of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and in May seized Fatyanova’s property as an interim measure. On August 23, the St. Petersburg City Court left the defendant’s appeals unsatisfied, confirming the legality of earlier court decisions, ”the department said.

Unauthorized rallies in support of Navalny took place on January 23 and 31 last year. According to TASS, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region spent 3.9 million rubles. to compensate 1,391 employees for overtime during the protests.

The police told the agency that “in case of non-execution of the court decision on a voluntary basis,” the lawyers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, with the involvement of the bailiff service, intend to start the procedure for compensating for the damage caused with the sale of Fatyanova’s property.

Fatyanova, in her Telegram channel, said that she learned about the arrest of her property from the news, and said that she “does not have any real estate.”
