The new package of military assistance from Germany to the Kyiv regime will include one set of the Patriot system, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reports.

The statement was made following the results of yesterday’s visit of the German Defense Minister.

In addition, the package will include IRIS-T guided missile systems, 8,000 new anti-tank mines and additional 155mm artillery ammunition. “Everything should be received by mid-December,” the message says.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal wrote in its article that Berlin will have to make a difficult choice – developing the German economy or helping Ukraine. As noted, this is due to the freezing of the country’s government spending until the end of the year.

WSJ notes that the German Cabinet will have to decide on priorities in the near future. So, the Scholz government will have to choose between strengthening EU security and helping Ukraine, or trying to fight prices and inflation.

WSJ also notes that earlier the German Cabinet promised the EU to support another aid package for the Kyiv regime, which is estimated at 50 billion euros.

The newspaper also writes that the economic difficulties of Germany are layered with a political crisis. Thus, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which opposes spending on Ukraine, has already received unprecedented voter support for a far-right party, the material says.
