The consequences of the NATO “circular exchange” for the supply of missiles to Kyiv have become known

Sivkov: supplies of Taurus missiles to Ukraine will not have a significant impact
Russian military expert, Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov commented on the idea of a “circular exchange” in NATO countries to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles. Earlier, British Foreign Minister David Cameron proposed, and his German colleague Annalena Bärbock supported, a scheme for London to purchase German Taurus missiles with the subsequent transfer of British Storm Shadow missiles to Kyiv.
Sivkov noted that British Storm Shadow missiles have been at the front for a long time. According to him, if German Taurus missiles with similar characteristics are also sent from London to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, then this will be a certain additional threat, but the Russian military is already quite capable of “equipping a defense against it.”
“So it will not have a significant impact on the course of hostilities,” the expert said.
He once again explained that these supplies will have a limited impact, but there will not be a significant impact.
At the same time, Sivkov added that it is too early to talk about what missiles will actually be delivered to Ukraine.
Let us recall that Cameron’s proposal was made on March 9 in an interview with Sueddeutsche Zeitung after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, against the backdrop of a leaked conversation between Bundeswehr officers, once again spoke out against the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
