The profile committee of the Federation Council on constitutional legislation supported a package of laws that provide for the introduction of a ban on LGBT propaganda, pedophilia and gender reassignment.
According to the new bill, the aforementioned propaganda on the Internet, books, movies, media and advertising faces a fine of up to 10 million rubles.
It is noted that the Federation Council intends to consider a package of new laws during the meeting, which will be held on November 30.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein called for Roskomnadzor to be given powers that would give the department the ability to close or block a site that contains materials on LGBT propaganda, gender reassignment or pedophilia.
