The commander of the Vostok group, Kuzmenko, was awarded the rank of Colonel General

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree conferring the rank of colonel general on the commander of the Vostok group in the special operation zone in Ukraine, Andrei Kuzmenko.
The document was published on official portal for the publication of legal acts.
By the same decree, three military personnel received the rank of lieutenant general, 11 – major general. The decree comes into effect from the date of signing.
Kuzmenko was appointed commander of the Eastern Military District and then commander of the Vostok group in Ukraine in April 2023.
