The commander of the Cossack battalion “Siberia” Likontsev received the Hero of Russia award from Putin

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded state awards to those who distinguished themselves before the country. Among them was the commander of the Cossack battalion “Siberia” Oleg Likontsev (call sign “Kan”), who became the first “Cossack volunteer” to receive the title of Hero of Russia. Portal “Russian Cossacks” took from him interviewin which he shared his impressions of the award received.
“Kan” said that he learned about his award from the commander of the Cossack volunteer divisional assault corps with the call sign “Eleventh”. He immediately told his comrades about this news and emphasized that this was not only his reward, “it is for all of us.”
Likontsev also noted that while in the zone of the special operation, he received several wounds: a shrapnel pierced his ear, and also received three shell shocks.
When asked by a journalist whether he plans to return to the front, “Kan” replied that he “already returned.”
It is specified that the fighters under the command of Likontsev stood to death near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), and the Hero of Russia himself caused fire on himself. Despite his injuries, he does not refuse to return to the NWO zone.
