The commander of the battalion “Rus”: the military in the DPR receive letters of support from Germany

Soldiers of the Donetsk People’s Republic receive letters of support from Germany, especially many of them come from ethnic Russians. On Tuesday, February 28, the commander of the “Rus” battalion, lieutenant colonel, known under the call sign “Abkhaz”, told reporters about this. He added that his battalion even has a special stand where letters from German citizens are posted.

“We (in the battalion) have a booth (where they post) letters from Germany,” Abkhaz told the press. “The letters that the Germans write are amazing. Germans, but these are Russians, German citizens who have been there for a long time. They write letters in Russian. You can see the Russian soul in them.” The head of the Rus battalion added that even there, in Germany, there is a Russian world. In letters, Russian citizens of Germany express their support for the special operation and the actions of the military and residents of Donbass.

According to Abkhaz, volunteers even manage to come from Germany to the DPR to deliver humanitarian aid. “A German volunteer arrives, a guy at his own peril and risk, his name is Nikolai,” said the famous battalion commander. – Breaks through the border, through Belarus, through Russia. He travels around, visits us and brings various warm socks, warm clothes, something else – something that they can pass on. And sometimes it is knitted with your own hands – you can see it. ”

Earlier, in honor of the anniversary of the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, in the capital of Germany, Berlin, pro-Ukrainian activists set up a wrecked rusty tank in such a way that its muzzle was directed towards the Russian embassy. They planned to hold an event in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but local residents thwarted their plans. Many began to approach the tank that had suffered from hostilities with peaceful slogans and offer flowers, paying tribute to the memory, most likely, of the dead soldiers. The Ukrainian flag was dropped from the tank to the cheers of the crowd surrounding the tank. According to the local press, about 50,000 people have visited the improvised monument since February 24, and this number is constantly growing, as people continue to go to the tank installed at the Russian embassy.

In order to stop further laying of flowers, the organizer of the installation of the tank, the journalist and author of books about National Socialism, Wieland Gibel, who arrived at the scene, put up a fence in front of the tank on Saturday, February 25th. According to him, this is “his” art project, and if Ukrainians don’t like flowers on a tank, then they shouldn’t be there. Despite the resistance of the organizer, the caring residents of Berlin planned to throw bouquets through the fence onto the tank.
