The commander of the American PMC “Mozart” Andy Milburn spoke in an interview with the German edition of Merkur about the poor training of recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, many have to start from scratch and first learn how to use weapons. However, there is not enough time for preparation.
“There is still very little time for training. Most recruits are not trained by Western standards,” Milburn said.
According to him, many of these people show courage, but they are untrained. Their commanders are aware of this, but have no way of recalling them from the front to continue their training.
“The truth is that Russian troops are still advancing,” Milburn also said.
In addition, he said that the American veterans working with him do not take up arms and do not fight. According to Milburn, they only train Ukrainian soldiers near the front lines, help evacuate civilians and deliver humanitarian aid. At the same time, he admitted that the 1st Presidential Brigade, the 58th and 93rd brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the preparation of which American veterans took part, lost up to 80% of their personnel.
