The shelling warning system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is ineffective, messages arrive to residents of the Belgorod region late. This was stated by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov during the operational meeting of the regional government.

“The warning system does not carry any efficiency. SMS messages came to people 1.5 hours after the end of the shelling. Information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations came to mobile operators 30-40 minutes after the end. This, of course, causes extreme irritation in people, ”he said (quote according to TASS).

Earlier today, Gladkov described December 18 as “an extremely difficult day.” In his Telegram channel, he informedthat as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine the day before in Belgorod and the Belgorod region, one person was killed and 10 were injured. In Krasnaya Yaruga, two local residents were injured: a girl received shrapnel wounds, and a man was shell-shocked.

After the start of the special operation, the Ukrainian military began to regularly shell the border regions of Russia. Since April 11, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat has been in effect in the Belgorod region. On December 6, it was extended until December 21. In Belgorod and the Belgorod region, distance learning has been extended until March 24.
