The Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces called on citizens to be prepared for a possible war
The Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, Mikael Büden, and the Minister of Civil Defense, Karl-Oskar Bulin, called on their fellow citizens to be prepared for a possible war.
At a national security conference on January 7, Karl-Oskar Bulin said that there could be a war in Sweden. “My main goal is not to appeal to your fear, but rather to your situational awareness,” noted minister
According to him, peace has been a pleasant companion for Sweden for almost 210 years. But now it’s time to open a door that many Swedes may have kept closed their entire lives. The minister suggested that fellow citizens ask themselves about readiness for war.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, Mikael Büden, in an interview with TV4, called the situation very serious and said that citizens must prepare internally.
“Now we are talking about moving from words and understanding to action,” the commander-in-chief said.
