The co-chairman of the Khabarovsk “Council of Fathers” burned children’s books, suspecting LGBT propaganda: “Parents asked”

In Khabarovsk, the scandalous books “Summer in a Pioneer Tie” and “What the Swallow is Silent About” were defiantly destroyed – the works are accused of LGBT propaganda. The action was initiated by members of the organization under the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights “Council of Fathers”.

Co-chairman of the “Council of Fathers” Andrey Nikonov told the details.

How did you come up with the idea of ​​destroying books?

– Local journalists launched a vote among the inhabitants of the region on what to do with such literature. The majority voted for “burn”. We took a more humane path – we bought the books and disposed of them, so that later the recycled paper would be used for peaceful and good deeds, – says Andrey Nikonov. — The local opposition calls me a homophobe. And many parents know my attitude to all this same-sex love. Plus, I’m a dad with many children, it’s clear that I will never understand this phenomenon. Some time ago, my parents complained to me that there was a shop selling such literature next to the school and two universities. They were indignant: we do not want children to have the opportunity to buy books. Then we talked to the manager of this store. They did not find understanding with her, unlike a dozen other entrepreneurs who, after our raids, quickly removed these works. For which we thank them. And this woman remained armored, I can’t call her otherwise. Under no circumstances does she want to remove this literature.

— What does he say?

– She refers to the fact that the law on the ban on LGBT propaganda has not yet been signed by the president. She made her own: “On what basis should I clean?” The fool turns on. I tell her: “For you, profit is more valuable than human conscience.” In response, she promised to call the police. We made it clear that when the president signs the law, the police will come to her and the fine will be far from a thousand rubles. But she doesn’t hear us. Worst of all, this woman is the co-owner of several other stores, one of which is also located 10 meters from the gymnasium.

Do you think young people buy books now?

— I understand that we live in the age of information technology. But if we keep quiet, then we will indulge. Of course, you can download anything. We hope that when the law comes into force, we will be able to block the relevant Internet resources through Roskomnadzor. The most important thing is that this is not spread and promoted further. We must prevent this. In any case, I see my role as a father of many children and a member of the Council of Fathers in this.

Thousands of people in our region support us. We do not need European and Western culture.

Why didn’t you fight with such literature before?

– I did not know. Didn’t pay attention to what was on the shelves. This is what the parents saw and said. Now we have bought everything we can and will continue to do so.

Have you read these works yourself?

Why would I read such rubbish? I have enough colleagues who work in the field of expertise. They told me that same-sex love is described in this literature. So I haven’t read it and don’t intend to. And I appeal to all parents to destroy this rubbish. Hope you post it.

How many books did you buy and destroy?

— Our deputy redeemed. Maybe five were destroyed. They took everything that they found on the shelves in two stores.

Were the books expensive?

I don’t know, he paid by card.

– In your opinion, the books of foreign agents should also be destroyed?

– The works of foreign agents all the more need to be destroyed. Everything related to the “fifth column” is a strict taboo for me. In this matter, I am anti-tolerant. Now there are talks to deprive foreign agents of citizenship, here I am not ready to comment yet. But those who have now left and condemn the NWO should not return to Russia.

– Do you feel sorry for the works of the same Boris Akunin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), Dmitry Glukhovsky (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation)? You must have read their books.

Whatever their books are, it doesn’t matter anymore. Someone considers Solzhenitsyn a classic, but for me he is the same as Navalny, one to one. At one time I began to read it, then I left it aside, because I understood where the wind was blowing from. I will soon be 50 years old and when I saw that a monument to Solzhenitsyn was erected in Primorye, to be honest, I was blown away.

— You announced another raid on bookstores. When to expect?

“I don’t know if we will have time to carry out raids this year. Before the New Year, we deliver gifts to children in difficult life situations and children with disabilities. Most likely, we will spend our energy on this before the end of the year. And if the president signs the law on LGBT propaganda, then we will organize serious raids, we will take law enforcement officers with us. No one else will warn, persuade and ask.

– Will you go through all the shops of Khabarovsk?

– If we receive specific complaints from residents of the city or region, we will go where they indicate. So far, we see that most entrepreneurs themselves have removed this literature from the shelves. Salespeople and bookstore managers told us that they saw our raids, did not wait for the president’s decision, and believe that such literature should not be on our shelves.
