The pre-Olympic Russian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship took place in Naro-Fominsk. More than 300 of the strongest athletes from 49 regions of the country took part in the tournament.
According to the results of the competition, wrestlers from Kabardino-Balkaria won 6 medals, the press service of the republican government reported.
Vitaly Kabaloev (55 kg) became the champion of Russia in Greco-Roman wrestling for the fifth time. The silver medalists were Zhambolat Lokyaev (63 kg) and Marat Kamparov (130 kg). Stanislav Pseunov (82 kg), Aues Gonibov (87 kg) and Adam Gauzhaev (67 kg) won bronze medals.
It was previously reported that Maria Lasitskene became the winner of the All-Russian high jump competition.
