The city judo championship was held in Yalta in memory of the feat of the legendary 6th company

In Yalta, in the multifunctional modular sports hall of the children’s and youth center for physical education and sports, the Yalta city judo championship was held dedicated to the heroic feat of soldiers and officers of the 6th company of the 104th regiment of the 76th Pskov Airborne Division.

The organizers were: Children and Youth Center for Physical Education and Sports, the Department of Sports and Physical Culture of the Yalta City Administration and the Yalta Judo Federation. The tournament brought together athletes born in 2012-2013 of the municipality of the Yalta city district of the Republic of Crimea.





At the opening ceremony, the young athletes, coaching staff, panel of judges and fans were greeted, told the story of the legendary feat and given wise parting words by the organizers and guests of honor: the leader of the Association of Veterans of Paratroopers in the city of Yalta, Colonel Oleg Shabalin, Representative of the Crimean Association of Veterans of Anti-Terrorism Units “Alpha”, master of sports of the USSR in judo, Stanislav Matyukhin, members of the Association of Veterans of the Airborne Forces Sergei Spasenkov and Nikolai Bigus, mother of the SVO participant Ekaterina Demina, President of the Yalta Judo Federation, deputy of the Yalta City Council, director of the MBUDO “YUTsFS” Alexander Tatarinov, chief judge Dmitry Danylyshyn.





– This is the first official judo competition in many decades, which became a qualifying start before the Championship of the Republic of Crimea. This is an excellent opportunity for Yalta children from different sections and sports schools to compete and prove themselves, and for coaches to evaluate the level of training of students,” Alexander Tatarinov noted in his speech and added that Yalta athletes always perform very well.





A lot of organizational work on holding the tournament was done by: Sergey and Vladimir Rybalchenko, Ekaterina Ruzhavnitsa, Andrey Dzyuba.

Despite their young age, the athletes fought hard. At the end of the competition, in a solemn atmosphere, the winners stood on the podium and received awards.





The winners on this day were boys born in 2012-2013:

Pavel Shishkarev (Yalta, 31 kg.), Mikhail Medvedev (Alupka, 34 kg.), Eleazar Kravchenko (Gaspra, 38 kg.), Arsen Ablyakimov (Alupka, 42 kg.), Artyom Meshchishin (Yalta, 46 kg.), Armen Sagosyan (Alupka, 50 kg.).

Among girls born in 2012 -2013: Anastasia Khmelevskaya (Massandra, 27 kg.), Maria Zhukova (Massandra, 33 kg.), Veronika Kachkurkina (Alupka, 36 kg.), Ksenia Blazhenko (Gaspra, 40 kg.), Daria Ibragimova (Alupka, 52 kg.).
