The Vladikavkaz equestrian championship took place at the Republican Equestrian School. The sporting event was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of twice Hero of the USSR, Hero of the Mongolian People’s Republic Issa Pliev, the press service of the city administration reported.
More than 50 athletes took part in the championship. According to the deputy chairman of the committee for youth policy, physical culture and sports of the city hall, Zaur Ailarov, the competition took place for two days. On the first day, the riders showed their abilities in dressage riding, and on the second day in show jumping, that is, in competitions to overcome obstacles in a certain order and of a certain complexity and height.
“This is a very spectacular sport. I hope that in the future we will hold these competitions on a larger scale,” shared Ailarov.
