The CIS observer mission did not record any serious violations in the Russian presidential elections
The head of the CIS observer mission, Ilkhom Nematov, said that during the Russian presidential elections, held from March 15 to 17, no violations were recorded that could affect the voting results.
In conversation with "RIA News“Mr. Nematov noted that there were “minor technical violations,” provocations, attempts to harm the voting process, but they “absolutely did not affect the election results.” The CIS observer mission will present its final assessments at a press conference at the Central Election Commission.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova reported the day before, that in 20 regions at 29 polling stations attempts were recorded to set fire to or damage boxes with ballots (mostly they were filled with coloring liquid). By data Ministry of Internal Affairs, 61 criminal cases were initiated, more than 150 administrative protocols were drawn up.
By results processing 60.01% of the protocols, President Vladimir Putin gains 87.26% of the votes, Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) - 4.18%, Vladislav Davankov (New People) - 3.99%, Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) - 3.12 %, follows from the Central Election Commission data. The overall turnout was 74.22% (data as of 18:00 Moscow time).
