Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin made it clear to reporters at a briefing that the Chinese Foreign Ministry considers the Washington Post report that Russian and Chinese businessmen allegedly held secret negotiations on the construction of an underwater tunnel to Crimea to be false.
“As for false reports, I will not comment on them,” Wang Wenbin said.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov also stated that there was no point in commenting on such information. “It’s not like the Washington Post to write such nonsense,” Peskov told reporters.
