President Vladimir Putin met with the head of Kabardino-Balkaria Kazbek Kokov. He spoke about measures to support the families of participants in the military operation in Ukraine. Mr. Putin said that special attention should be shown to the children of SVO participants.
“Everything is important here. But what you said about children is special attention, of course. We need to show special attention and care for the children of our guys as if they were our own,” the president emphasized (quoted from press service Kremlin).
Vladimir Putin asked to pay attention to the shortage of places in kindergartens in the Kabardino-Balkaria region and to the development of an outpatient network. “Still, there are still not enough places in kindergartens. And, of course, especially in the republic as a whole, there is still work to be done in terms of the state of these institutions. I ask you to pay attention to this. The same as for the outpatient clinic network,” he noted.
There are several types of benefits for children of SVO participants in Russia. Thus, they could enter universities under a separate quota, for which taken away at least 10% of the total number of budget places in each direction. Based on the results of the admissions campaign within this quota enrolled 6659 people. Ministry of Education and Science reportedthat the children of SVO participants will prepare for admission to universities for free. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin promised do everything so that they study at the best universities.
