Events dedicated to the All-Russian Winter Sports Day are being held in Kalmykia.
In the Chernozemelsky region, one of them was also timed to coincide with the Year of the Family and the Tsagan Sar holiday. The Chernozemelye cross-country race was held in the village of Komsomolsky for the eighth time. It brought together over 120 athletes born in 2007-2016. They represented schools, youth sports schools from Elista and three regions of the republic.
The competitions were held in eight age groups at distances of 500 and 1000 meters separately among boys (young men) and girls (girls). Everyone was awarded memorable diplomas, and the winners and runners-up were given cups, medals, and certificates.
