The Champions Ball took place in Yakutsk

In the capital of the republic, the results of the year dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the physical education movement in Yakutia were summed up – the traditional Champions Ball was held at the Triumph sports complex.

During the ceremony, the names of the 10 best athletes in various sports were announced.

This year, in Olympic and non-Olympic sports, the best Yakut athlete was announced as the five-time champion of the Russian Federation, silver medalist of the Belgrade marathon, bronze medalist in the Asian Game marathon, bronze medalist and winner of the team gold of the Asian Half Marathon Championship Sardana Trofimova. Her coach is Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation Tatyana Zhirkova.

In adaptive sports, the best athlete of the republic this year was recognized as the Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation in archery, multiple champion of Russia, Europe, the world, bronze medalist of the XIV and XVI Paralympic Games Stepanida Artakhinova.

According to the results of the year, the titles of laureates of the Association “Sakhaada-Sport” – “Komүs muһe” were awarded in the nominations “Best athlete in Yakut national jumping”, “Best athlete in mas-wrestling”, “Best athlete in hapsagai wrestling”, “Best athlete in northern all-around”, “Best athlete in national board games habylyk and haamyska”, “Best athlete in national all-around”, “Best athlete in kettlebell lifting”, “Best athlete in national traditional archery shooting”, “Best athlete in bullet shooting”, “Best Jockey”

A native of the Tattinsky ulus, a veteran of physical culture and sports, an honored coach of Russia and the republic, Maria Byrdynnyrova received the award “For Service to Sports.”

In connection with the excellent organization of the Olympics in adaptive sports, the contribution of the Amginsky district was noted. The Boxing Federation was recognized as the best public organization.

It should be noted that the “Champions Ball” is the final event of the III Congress of Physical Culture and Sports Workers of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the physical culture movement in the republic.

102 sports are developing in the region, and 65 accredited federations operate.

In the past year, more than 500 physical education, recreation and sports events were organized throughout Yakutia.

Over the past five years, within the framework of various programs, including the presidential national project, 32 large sports facilities have been put into operation.
