Baltika has no plans to part with head coach Sergei Ignashevich, said the club’s general director Kirill Volzhenkin.
According to him, the leadership of the football club trusts Ignashevich 100%. As for the concept of Baltika, the club intends to focus on “young, hungry for victories football players,” the Match TV interlocutor noted.
“We are not afraid to trust them. The result of the game with Zenit in the cup meeting (1:0) proved that the club made such a decision not in vain. We plan to move further in the same direction,” Kirill Volzhenkin emphasized.
Sergey Ignashevich has been the head coach of the Kaliningrad football club since October 2021. He brought his wards to the Russian Premier League (RPL). A few decades later, the club managed to return to the top division of Russian football.
Kaliningrad “Baltika” earlier won in a match against St. Petersburg “Zenith” with a score of 1:0. Chilean footballer Angelo Henriquez sent the decisive goal into the opponent’s goal.
