CEC: 33 candidates declared their desire to participate in the presidential elections
Currently, 33 candidates have declared their desire to participate in the presidential elections. This number was named by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Nikolai Bulaev.
Current President Vladimir Putin was the first to submit documents to the CEC. He announced his participation as a self-nominated candidate.
It is also known about nomination Moscow region deputy Boris Nadezhdin from the “Civil Initiative”. Party “New People” put forward for the election of Vice-Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vladislav Davankov.
Earlier, December 11, Central Election Commission approved holding elections for the country’s leader in March 2024 in 4 new regions of the state.
The elections will be held over three days – March 15, 16 and 17 of the coming year.
