The Central Election Commission included 11 people in the list of possible candidates for the presidential elections
11 people are currently included in the list of possible candidates for the presidential elections, which will be held in March 2024. Two of them have already submitted documents for registration. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Nikolai Bulaev, writes TASS.
As for the rest – more than 30 people who previously notified the commission of their intention to participate in the elections – they did not reach this stage, he said.
Previously as a candidate The Central Election Commission registered the current head of state Vladimir Putin. He will participate in the election race as a self-nominated candidate.
Also on January 1, documents were submitted to the CEC by the leader of the LDPR party Leonid Slutskyleader of the Communists of Russia party Sergey Malinkovich and Deputy Prime Minister of the State Duma, member of the New People party Vladislav Davankov.
