Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense Nikolai Pankov said that after treatment in a hospital, wounded military personnel do not need to go to military units to undergo military medical commissions. On a direct line, a war correspondent complained to the president that the military had to go after treatment to their units in the combat zone to obtain military documents.
During a visit to the Vishnevsky hospital, the president asked Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov whether the military should really go to the North Military District zone after treatment. “On the direct line, people asked the question that the guys have to go to their units after treatment to receive documents for military medical commissions,” the president said.
Nikolai Pankov said that this was erroneous information; according to him, the war correspondent “misspoke.” “Even according to common sense: from a hospital, in this case the Central Hospital, to go to war in the trenches and try to pass the military military training test, I can’t imagine how this can be done,” the deputy minister added.
The day before, December 31, soldiers from the 57th brigade from the city of Bikin, Khabarovsk Territory, complained to the publication VL.ruthat they were being held to be sent to the front by order of the chief of staff and brigade commander. At the same time, the men were injured, but the military police, according to them, did not allow them to buy food and write statements to the prosecutor’s office.
