The autonomous non-profit organization to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic and protect the health of socially vulnerable groups of the population “Center for Social Information Initiatives Action” (St. Petersburg) was excluded from it. According to the registry (.pdf), the decision to exclude was made on July 10, 2023, the OVD-Info project drew attention to this (included in the register of foreign agents). According to the SPARK-Interfax system, the organization was excluded from the register of legal entities on June 28, 2023.
The organization was entered into the register on December 24, 2018. “The fact that the organization complies with the characteristics of a non-profit organization acting as a foreign agent was established during a scheduled documentary check by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for St. Petersburg,” the Ministry of Justice reported in 2018.
According to open sources, Action Center appeared in 2013 and worked in three main areas: community health, community development, research. The fourth area of work was organizational development.
