In seven regions of Russia, about 93,000 people took part in remote electronic voting (DEG), Ella Pamfilova, chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, said during a meeting of the commission.
“As of 16:30, 92,758 voters out of 110,618 included in the lists took part in remote voting. This is more than 83% at the moment, ”- said head of the CEC (quote from TASS).
Residents of the Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Novgorod, Pskov, Tomsk and Yaroslavl regions can take part in the DEG this year.
Moscow became the eighth region where online voting is used. The capital uses its own voting platform, and to encourage participation in the DEG, the Million Prizes program (discounts, promotions, gifts for voters) has been organized.
With the help of the DEG in Moscow, by the evening of the first day of voting, 1,006,499 voters (13.31% of their total number) voted, Dmitry Reut, deputy chairman of the Moscow City Electoral Committee, told Vedomosti earlier.
Three-day voting takes place from 9 to 11 September in 82 regions of Russia. As Pamfilova reported, more than 4,700 election campaigns at the regional and local levels will be held within three days.
