The lawyer named the category of Russians whose pensions are planned to be increased
Self-employed Russians can have their pensions increased, Honored Lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov said in an interview with the Prime agency.
According to him, this category includes those self-employed who pay contributions to compulsory pension insurance. If this category of persons is considered to be non-working pensioners, their pensions will be indexed.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Labor made a proposal to exclude the self-employed from the number of employed persons, which would give them the right to indexation of pensions. Currently, the bill is being approved, after which it will be considered in the State Duma.
The lawyer noted that such a step would be an impetus for a significant increase in the number of self-employed and further legalization of the individual entrepreneurship segment. According to him, self-employed pensioners will also be entitled to some additional social payments and benefits.
