Investigators will send the case of the “Kazan shooter” Galyaviev for approval to the prosecutor’s office in September, RIA Novosti reports, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
The report says that at the moment the accused Galyaviev is getting acquainted with the materials of the criminal case.
“At the end of September, the investigation will send the case materials to the prosecutor’s office for approval of the indictment,” the report says.
Galyaviev is involved in a criminal case related to the events of May 11, 2021. According to investigators, on that day he organized an explosion and shooting in gymnasium No. 175 in the city of Kazan. This crime has become one of the most resonant in Russia in recent years, seven children and two adults became its victims, and another 24 people were injured. Galyaviev faces life imprisonment.
