On August 12, the Arkhangelsk region, together with the whole country, will celebrate the All-Russian Day of the Athlete. This year the holiday is dedicated to a significant date – the 100th anniversary of Russian sports.
The central regional start of the holiday will be given on August 12 at 10:00 am at the Trud stadium in Arkhangelsk. There will be a parade of athletes, and then a relay race among kindergarten students. Next, sports grounds will begin to operate at the stadium itself, near the Youth House, on the embankment of the Northern Dvina and other locations.
