The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate 4.4 billion rubles for buses for 18 regions through treasury loans

The Government Commission for Regional Development approved the applications of 18 regions for the renewal of the bus fleet through the mechanism of special treasury loans (SCC), informed its head is Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“As part of the competitive selection, we approved new applications from 18 regions to receive funds from the CCM, thanks to which the residents of these regions will receive new modern buses,” he said.

As a result, the entire limit of the CCM provided for the renewal of public transport in the regions was distributed, the Deputy Prime Minister added. As specified in the press service of the government, the amount of CCM according to the latest applications amounted to 4.4 billion rubles.

During his February address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin instructed send an additional 50 billion rubles this year. to finance infrastructure budget loans to upgrade public transport in the Russian regions. As noted today in the government, these funds were distributed among 73 regions.

Special treasury loans are provided to the budgets of the regions of Russia and are intended to finance activities in the field of construction and modernization of infrastructure facilities, as well as the development of transport. Such a loan is provided for a period of up to 15 years with the terms of its repayment annually in equal installments.

Earlier on August 9, Khusnullin announced that the government commission approved new applications from 32 regions for special treasury loans totaling RUB 75 billion A total of 32 regions were selected, where 61 infrastructure projects will be implemented, including the construction or repair of 136 facilities. The funds will be directed mainly to the renovation of housing and communal services.
