The Government of the Russian Federation prepared and submitted proposals to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the creation of a mechanism for compensating clients affected by fraudsters. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Cabinet. According to the agency, the head of state instructed the government, together with the Central Bank, to submit relevant proposals. “Offers [правительства РФ] prepared and sent to the President of the Russian Federation,” the message says. It is noted that the issue of the return of money stolen by banks by fraudsters “is envisaged to be implemented in the draft Federal Law “On Amendments to the Federal Law on the National Payment System”, which provides for amendments to the law. “The bill was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading (in March – TASS note), its preparation for the second reading continues,” the ministry added.
