The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposed to ban transport links with the Russian Federation for 50 years

The Ukrainian government proposed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to consider amendments to legislation providing for a complete ban on transport links with Russia for the next half century.
The document provides for a ban on direct air traffic between the two countries, the closure of the Ukrainian border for cars registered in the Russian Federation, and a ban in all customs regimes of railway traffic for persons associated with the Russian Federation.
There is also a ban on navigation in the internal waters of Ukraine and the entry into Ukrainian seaports of vessels flying the flag of the Russian Federation or for vessels owned by Russians.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on introducing the institution of multiple citizenship, and also signed a decree on preserving the national identity of Ukrainians in the Russian Federation. Deputy Institute of the CIS Countries Vladimir Zharikhin expressed the opinion that the main goal of this bill is tease Russia.
The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak said that Kyiv does not accept a frozen conflict with Russia and considers it impossible for himself to switch to a defensive strategy in 2024.
