The Cabinet of Ministers instructed to import American medicine for monkeypox to Russia

On the official Internet portal of legal information, an order of the Russian government appeared on the import into the country of the American drug tecovirimat, intended to help patients with monkeypox.
To carry out the importation of the drug ordered by JSC “Pharmaceutical Import, Export” in order to provide assistance to patients with diseases caused by smallpox viruses, including the monkeypox virus.
At the same time, the document states that this drug is not registered in the Russian Federation.
Import volume is defined as 200 packs.
Recall that in Russia at the moment only two cases of monkeypox have been confirmed. These patients were treated in infectious diseases hospitals and were discharged after full recovery.
