The Cabinet of Ministers approved the indexation of some payments to military personnel

The Government of the Russian Federation approved the indexation of certain payments to military personnel from January 1, 2024. The corresponding decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was published on Tuesday, December 26.
In accordance with the document, payments to military personnel, employees of some federal executive bodies, citizens discharged from military service and citizens undergoing military training will be indexed by 4.5%.
Indexation also concerns insurance payments and compensation to participants in volunteer formations.
Previously, the Russian authorities emphasized that military personnel must receive all payments and benefits due to them in a timely manner and without unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy.
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all support measures for the military should be the same – both for volunteers and for contract soldiers – for everyone who defends the Motherland at the cost of their health and life.
