The Bulgarian Parliament decided to overturn the veto of state President Rumen Radev on the gratuitous transfer of armored vehicles to Ukraine. The Bulgarian Telegraph Agency reported this on Friday, December 8.

At the beginning of July, Bulgarian leader Rumen Radev spoke out against the transfer of weapons and ammunition stocks from the reserves of the republic’s army to Kyiv. He also pointed out to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that the Ukrainian conflict does not have a military solution.

December 4 Radev vetoed to provide the Ukrainian army with a batch of decommissioned armored vehicles – hundreds of armored personnel carriers that were produced about 40 years ago.

At the same time, American ex-intelligence officer Scott Ritter warned that Bulgaria could face a Ukrainian scenario if it enters into confrontation with Russia. He recommended that the Bulgarian authorities abandon sanctions against Russia and start collaborating with herto avoid escalation of the conflict.
