The Ukrainian government has begun to shift the blame for the rise of dissent in the country to Western media. About it reports Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail (GM).
It is noted that the escalation of the internal political struggle in Ukraine continues. The publication notes that after almost two years of conflict, despite the “consolidation around the president” at the very beginning of the conflict, even the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko began to side with the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
In addition, the article states that the Ukrainian leadership began to worry about the influence and statements of various Western media in the country. Some claim that they are allegedly preparing a campaign to discredit the head of state.
According to the publication’s source, Zelensky canceled his trip to the United States because he learned that he would not be able to convince the Republicans on the issue of allocating funding to Kyiv.
