The building of the Catholic Church ensemble caught fire in Moscow – Kommersant

In the center of Moscow, a fire occurred in the building of the ensemble of the Roman Catholic Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul. The building was built in the 19th century and is currently undergoing reconstruction. According to the capital’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, no one was injured.
As the operational services told TASS, the fire occurred in Milyutinsky Lane, the source of the fire is on the third floor. The building is an annex to a private school, from which 200 children were evacuated.
What caused the fire is not specified. Next to the burning building is the estate of P.F. Mitkova – A.N. Arbatskaya, as well as the former Polish Catholic Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
