Both detainees have a difficult fate

Details of the biography of two arsonists of the military commissariat of Podolsk near Moscow were revealed on Monday evening. If the woman turned out to be a completely respected person, a physician and the daughter of a famous scientist, then her follower, an elderly Muscovite, was an outcast with a criminal record. Both committed crimes for money.

As MK learned, a 52-year-old Muscovite was the first to commit a crime. She threw a glass bottle of Macallan 12 whiskey with an unknown substance inside through the window of the commissariat building at 8.50 pm. Inside the bottle were kerosene, oil and foam. However, the lady did not light the wick, and no fire occurred.

The very first interrogations showed that the detainee (she was caught red-handed) had a difficult fate. She is a doctor by profession, worked as a nurse in an oncology clinic, and mastered several specialties (radiologist, proctologist, etc.). However, not so long ago, a woman suffered a serious leg fracture, after which she began to limp. She separated from her husband and led a secluded life. By the way, the father of the detainee is a major specialist in the development of various methods for human exploration of the world’s oceans. He was also the author of a unique project for the superstructure of a Khrushchev building in the north-west of Moscow as part of the renovation.

As for the second arsonist, detained around midnight after a similar attempt, his actions were more meaningful. The bottle thrown by the criminal broke the outer glass, then stuck to the grill and began to smoke. The watchman, who, by the way, was on his first shift yesterday at the military registration and enlistment office, knocked out the flames with a mop and, although he was scared, helped eliminate the consequences of the fire. The 63-year-old detained citizen was previously convicted – in 2001 for the theft of door closers, and in 2018 – for the theft of building materials from a construction site.

It is noteworthy that the Podolsk military registration and enlistment office has already been set on fire, also twice in one day. Yesterday’s saboteurs admitted that they committed the crime for money – they were promised a serious reward. The mastermind of the crime is being identified.
