The court concluded that defamatory information was disseminated there
The biographer of the legendary singer Anna German had to defend his honor, dignity and business reputation in court. Having considered the case of Ivan Ilyichev, the Meshchansky District Court of the capital decided to satisfy the claim against the publishing company.
The story began when the author of three books about the famous singer discovered extremely negative publications about him on the website and social networks of one publishing house. In them, in particular, he was called the “thief of the family” of Anna German, “publisher of other people’s works,” “woeful biographer,” etc. From these same publications it became clear why Ilyichev did not please their authors. In an article dedicated to Anna German in a well-known newspaper, the writer accused the editor-in-chief of one of the magazines published by the publishing house of assigning the award to the singer.
The biographer decided to go to court and won. According to the court decision, the publishing house will have to remove all publications, place refutations on the pages where they were, pay compensation for moral damage in the amount of 45,000 rubles, as well as reimburse the costs of notarial actions in the amount of 36,920 rubles and pay a state fee of 900 rubles.
