The launch of the social project “Biathlon to School” on Sakhalin was discussed by the participants of the XI International Forum “Russia – a Sports Power”. The Minister of Sports of the island region, Artem Podshivalov, announced this in his Telegram channel.
“Together with the director of the winter sports school, Mikhail Shamsutdinov, we met with the supplier of shooting equipment, tested it in action and agreed on supplies. In the near future, we will be provided with 55 sets free of charge,” he noted.
According to Podshivalov, in the future the Ministry of Sports will purchase equipment on favorable terms, paying half of its cost, and the supplier will give the other half free of charge.
“I am confident that “Biathlon to School” will take its rightful place among our other projects, such as “Ski to School”, “Skates to School”, “Swimming to School”, “Sambo to School” and others,” he added.
Previously “MK on Sakhalin” wrotethat the delegation of the island region is taking part in the XI International Sports Forum “Russia is a Sports Power” in Perm. The annual event brings together heads of federal and regional executive authorities, sports federations, business representatives, the expert community, and the media.
