In the Sakhalin region, at the Russian Snowboard Championship, the winners in parallel slalom were determined. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.
72 participants aged 13-14 and 15-18 years old from 23 regions of the country came to the competition in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
“I’ve flown to Sakhalin for the fourth time, so I feel at home here. There are very beautiful views here, your hills are simply mesmerizing. And when you realize that you are on an island, you experience very unusual emotions,” said snowboarder from the Republic of Bashkortostan Valentin Efimenko.
Among boys 13-14 years old, Dmitry Podolsky from the Kemerovo region became the strongest; silver and bronze went to Egor Klyuev and Dmitry Bronnikov, who competed for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
Among the juniors, Roman Korkin from the Altai Territory won, second place went to Maxim Skobenko from Bashkortostan, and Nikita Kurilo from the Moscow Region completed the top three.
