The best arena in Russia awaits athletes from Siberia

Today at the “Sports Complex named after Nikolai Genrikhovich Bulakin” the Championship and Championship of the Siberian Federal District in Athletics will take place, where more than 670 athletes from all over Siberia will take part.
Abakan in Khakassia welcomes in its modern arena athletes from various regions – the Altai Republic, Altai and Krasnoyarsk territories, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions, as well as from Khakassia itself.
Finally, after a ten-year wait, Abakan athletes and even track and field athletes from neighboring regions were able to use the new sports facility.
The main reason for the length of construction of the arena in Abakan was that almost the entire cost of the facility was covered by municipal funds. The total cost of the arena was 413 million 776 thousand rubles, with funding coming from three sources: from the municipal budget in the amount of 352 million 300 thousand rubles, from the federal budget in the amount of 60 million 861 thousand rubles and from the republican budget in the amount of 614 thousand rubles.
For the first time in its history, the arena was used for mass athletics competitions, which took place here last year. The total number of delegation participants, including athletes, coaches and judges, exceeded 900 people.
