The Belgorod region team won medals at the “Defenders of the Fatherland Cup”

The Belgorod region team performed at the Interregional tournament among veterans of the Northern Military District “Defenders of the Fatherland Cup”. Representatives of the region won several medals at once.
The competition took place over three days, with representatives from 29 regions of the Central Federal District and Northwestern Federal District taking part. They competed in shooting, archery, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, arm wrestling and table tennis.
The regional team took third place in the volleyball competition. Sergei Rybalchenko took first place in the individual table tennis competition. Manvel Darbinyan received two gold medals in arm wrestling competitions. Evgeniy Vasilenko became third in powerlifting.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov congratulated Belgorod residents on their success.
“We are proud of our guys and wish them new victories! We will definitely try to help in any way we can. What our veterans do is the most important example for all of us!” – emphasized the head of the region.
Previously Gladkov wished the Belgorod team to perform well at the “Defenders of the Fatherland Cup”.
