Russian State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov said that the newly created Chechen battalion named after Sheikh Mansur was headed by Ruslan Geremeev.
He, according to the parliamentarian, managed to establish himself as a person who courageously and at a high level carries out any assigned tasks. In his telegram channel, Delimkhanov congratulated Geremeev on his appointment as commander of the Chechen unit, wishing him good luck and success.
Previously, Geremeev took part in the battles for Mariupol.
Sheikh Mansur is a religious, military and political leader of the North Caucasus in the 18th century. The day before, the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov announced that the formation of a new battalion of the Russian Ministry of Defense named after Sheikh Mansur was being completed in the region.
