The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia ex-deputy minister Milov in the case of fakes about the army

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the former Deputy Minister of Energy Vladimir Milov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) in the case of fakes about the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation. A preventive measure against Milov was issued in connection with the charge under paragraph “e” of Part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation based on political and ideological hatred). At the same time, Milov was put on the international wanted list.
Milov was Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia from May to October 2002. In the period from 2012 to 2015. was chairman of the Democratic Choice Party. He is considered an associate of Alexei Navalny (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring). In 2021 Milov left Russia, he said, for fear of arrest. In May 2022, he was included in the list of foreign agents.
At the end of June, the Basmanny Court of Moscow in absentia sentenced the media manager and former CEO “Yandex.Lavki” Ilya Krasilshchik to eight years in a penal colony, having been found guilty of publicly disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces based on political hatred. On July 7, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put Dyer on the wanted list, and on March 16, 2023, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested him in absentia.
