The military-civilian administration of the Kherson region was renamed into the regional administration against the background of the establishment of a peaceful life in the region, said the acting head of the region Vladimir Saldo.
“We are switching to a peaceful path and are starting to establish a peaceful life in our region, and this is reflected in the name of state structures: the Civil-Military Administration of the Kherson region is now becoming the Administration of the Kherson region,” – wrote he is in his Telegram channel.
The decree, the photo of which was published by Saldo, brings the authorities of the region in line with Russian law. The leadership of the executive power in the region, in accordance with the document, is carried out by the governor, and its highest body is the government.
The governor will have four deputies, and the prime minister will have five. The structure of executive authorities will also include ministries, departments, services, etc.
“We strive to integrate the Kherson region into the all-Russian legal, socio-economic and socio-political space … Now our executive structures will be organically integrated into the all-Russian management system. I am sure that this will increase the return on their work, both, first of all, for people and for the state,” Saldo added.
During a special operation in Ukraine, the Russian military took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. At the end of September, five-day referendums were held in these territories on the issue of joining subjects to Russia. Residents supported the entry of regions into the Russian Federation by a majority of votes.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the regions joining Russia. On October 4, the Federation Council, following the State Duma, ratified all the treaties, and the next day Putin signed federal laws on the admission of four new subjects to the Russian Federation. Martial law has been introduced in four regions since October 19.
